I trust you have been empowered by the wisdom expressed in JUBILEE. Our magazine would be pointless without inviting you to salvation (meaning you've never made Jesus your Lord and Savior) or re-dedication (meaning you don’t live the lifestyle or have the relationship as you once did). Today is your day! Romans 10:9 says if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Say this prayer out loud: Dear God, I thank you for your son Jesus Christ. I believe He died on the cross and was raised from the dead. I repent (turn away) from everything I've done wrong. I'm not who I want to be, I need you to come into my life. Change me into who you have called me to be. Deliver (rescue) me from every unclean habit, person, place and thing, right now. Give me a new heart. Jesus, I confess you as my Lord and Savior and I will serve you all the days of my life. I am yours, I am free, and I am saved! Hallelujah! Amen! If you said this prayer or rededicated through this invitation, let us know. E-mail us at salvation@jubileemag.com See, it's that simple! What do you do next? 1. Membership. Public confession of true Christian faith is a virtual necessity. (Matthew 10:32). Make sure you join a church that feeds your soul. A church where you can see a consistent change in your lifestyle. Only those who have the qualities of a changed life are citizens of His kingdom. Commit to God so you can receive everything He has for you. 2. Communication. Prayer includes asking questions and getting answers from God. In addition, it is more than just asking; it is confession, adoration, thanksgiving and spending time with God. 3. Study. Get an easy-to-read bible like the Amplified, New Living Translation or The Message version. Select a quiet place where you can be alone and concentrate. Make prayer and study time the top priority of your day. This will help you keep Him as the focal point of your life. Take notes and think about how the scriptures relate to you. 4. Get empowered. Next you must further equip yourself by receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues. This is a gift of power from on high. It is one of the signs of a believer and is the key to spiritual endurance. Some say it's hard to "stay saved". They do well for a month, and then they are back to their old ways. Why? Look at it like this, the fliest Mercedes with no gas is useless. You can't go anywhere. Likewise, you need God's Spirit in order to live God's way. You will have the power to say "no" and mean it, when you would normally say "yes". The bible will become easier to understand. You'll start having more answers instead of all the questions. All people who believe will receive this gift. Let your Pastor know you want to experience the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which is absolutely necessary in the life of every Christian for the service that Christ expects of us. (Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Luke 11:13; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8, 2:4; 2:38; 11:16; I Corinthians 14:15&18; Jude 20) 5. Renew your mind. This means change the way you think. Re-programming yourself will take work on your part. Be very selective of what you hear, see, and speak because it determines your actions, attitude, and influences your perspectives on life. Delete all of your old thoughts and motives. Replace them with God's way of doing things. Replace hatred with love, gossiping with speaking the Word only, stealing with giving, clubbing with high church attendance, and so on. If you want to change your life, change the way you think. Your life right now is a result of the way you think. Surround yourself with whatever is true, honest, just, pure, lovely and good news. Stay around people who are spiritually strong. Others may not understand your change, but that’s ok. Don’t allow people to dump gossip and bad news on you. Furthermore, this is the only part that won't happen overnight. You must consistently work at it. Trust that God is big enough to accomplish all of this in your life and more. Renewing your mind causes your heart to change. Ask the Father for endurance because every good and perfect gift comes from above. He is perfecting everything that concerns you. Win the battle in your mind and you are home free! Surrender to God’s way of doing things, resist the devil and he will flee. These few foundational points are by no means the only keys to being a Christian that is pleasing in God's eyes. Jesus loves you and is waiting to satisfy you with financial overflow, peace, healing, joy, love and the fulfillment of many other promises. This is the essence of Jubilee! Live according to His Word so that you will be in position to receive everything He has for you. Be willing to do whatever it takes. I’m excited to meet the new you!
