Be Our Friend

Today in my car on the way to work I experienced what it truly means to put on the
"Garment of Praise." For the first time in a very long time I literally cried out to God and
worshipped Him. I did not care who was looking from the other cars, I just poured out
my heart to God. The presence of God began to fall on me in the car and translated
into one of the most unforgettable worship experiences of my life.
Jesus hugged me today...And as peculiar as that may sound HE did. The Holy Spirit
comforted me like never before because I invited him in through sincere Worship and
Praise. When we go through challenging periods in our lives, so often we run to
people for advice, pouring out our hearts to them, crying on their shoulders, and
getting hugs from them. At times this is helpful to us and it seems convenient. Yet,
even when we do this we have to remember that “we” can ask the Holy Spirit who is
our Friend and our Comforter for all of these things.
We can cry out to God, invoke His presence and He will give us what we need. I know
because today in that period of intimate Praise and Worship I received what I needed.
And as I return to this practice, I will continue to be healed, restored, and made whole
in Him.
These are some of the reasons Jesus came and died for us on this earth according to
Isaiah 61:1-4. He came to lift our heavy burdens, and heal our hearts. In the spirit of
transparency, as I always attempt to be I am sharing my experiences with you in
hopes that it may help you in the time of need.
I am still healing and being "Made Whole" in Christ on a daily basis. It became
revelation knowledge for me today that He is not only a Healer, a Restorer, and a
Redeemer, but he is MY Healer, MY Restorer, and MY Redeemer. Although his blood
was shed for all of us, it became Revelation knowledge that he died for ME!
Regardless of my past, regardless of my mistakes, because I am in a covenant
relationship with Christ I can come boldly to the throne of Grace and receive HIS Mercy
and Grace.
Hebrews 4:16- Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may
obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Without receiving God's grace, favor, mercy, and everlasting Love I am NOTHING. I am
miserable, I am needy, and I'm dependent on people when I don't receive the free gift
of HIS Grace that became available to me the day of my salvation.
Prayer- Thank you Father for allowing me to experience your presence through the
promised gift of Holy Spirit. I thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die so that I can
put on a garment of Praise, and so that I can rejoice instead of mourn. You are the
healer of hearts and my redeemer! Your mercy and grace are everlasting! Thank you
for making me whole and complete in you! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
