It was 5am on a Friday morning on the campus of Spelman
College. The sun had not come up yet. You'd think it was
mid-morning the way people were lined up to be a part of the
Yolanda Adams Morning Show which would broadcast live in
one hour.

Praise 97.5 FM was on hand directing the crowd as they
awaited to see an A-list of music greats perform in the
historic Sisters Chapel. Performers included
Byron Cage,
Canton Jones, Deitrick Haddon, the Anointed Pace Sisters,
Beverly Crawford, and the Voices of Faith Church Choir. The
Spelman College Glee Club, Sisters Chapel Praise Team
and its Spoken Word Ministry were featured in a few
inspirational selections. Non-musical guests were
Fonzworth Bentley and Bernice King.

It's now 5:50am and CoCo Brother from Hot 107.9
introduces Yolanda and her team, Larry Jones and
comedian Marcus Wiley, aka "Bishop Secular". The crowd
screams in anticipation of their favorite morning show.

Go Ye DJ's kept the music pumpin' as they make their
entrance. Yolanda wore a gorgeous bronze dress that fit her
to the tee. Her strappy stilettos added another 3 inches to her
already statuesque flawless form.

Her co-hosts Larry Jones and Marcus Wiley were also suited
clean enough to pose on the cover of GQ. Marcus had an
extra reason for looking good. It was his birthday.

They greeted the crowd, took their seats, put on their
headphones and locked fingers as a sign of team spirit. The
producer quieted the audience as he began the countdown,
5...4...3...2...1. Her theme music began to play.

She welcomed the listening audience to the show and
introduced her first guest, Canton Jones. They discussed his
new CD,
Canton Jones: Kingdom Business, which will be
released February 5, 2008. He also delivered an explosive
performance of "No Other Name Higher Than Yours, Lord".
(Check out his video footage below.)

Another guest was Deitrick Haddon. He's known for giving
"move the crowd" anointed performances. "I want to give a
shout out to my wife, Damita Haddon. She's in the studio
right now working on her next CD," said Haddon. He
performed "God Is Good" and a list of other hits. The crowd
couldn't resist dancing in the aisle and in front of the stage.

Next was a special appearance from "Bishop Secular", the
hilarious character portrayed by comedian Marcus Wiley on
the Morning Show. He was dressed in a long black robe, 2
silver chains with a blackberry, cell phone AND pager on his
hip. The audience was laughing so hard, it took a moment to
get back on track.

Another guest was entertainer and fashion elite, Derek
Watkins, aka Fonzworth Bentley. He told of how he was
healed from a malignant tumor. "I called in my prayer angels
and had them lay hands on me. Ten days later, the surgeon
came in and said, 'We have witnessed a miracle!' Since that
day, he's quick to tell people how real Christ is. "Hearing
about a burning bush is too far fetched for this generation to
understand. They want to know what God did in YOUR life,"
he added.

Fonzworth also talked about his new book,
Advance Your
Swagger: How to Use Manners, Confidence, and Style to Get
Ahead.
He realized our community and culture needed an
etiquette book. So he wrote one, and made it cool.
