'Real Housewives of Atlanta' creator
launched TV production company, Loft 22
By Kim Ford
Princess Banton-Lofters, creator of 'The Real Housewives
of Atlanta' launched her own television production company
called Loft 22. The event was hosted by RHOA star, Lisa
Wu-Hartwell.

Guests included Mychael Knight, Derek Blanks, Kenny
Burns, Rodney Perry and a host of other friends, family and
industry elites.

Formed in 2007, Loft 22 Entertainment is an entertainment
production company based in Atlanta, GA. Loft 22
Entertainment creates, produces, writes, pitches, and
develops television show concepts for celebrities and major
networks all the way through to pre- and post-production,
but specializes in selecting and casting all of its talent for
programming produced under the company umbrella.

Headed by Hamilton, Ontario native Princess Banton-
Lofters, Loft 22 Entertainment exhibits a keen sense for
developing talent and breakout concepts and strives to
create exciting programming that is thrilling, dramatic, and
inspiring.

Operating under the provision of “Dreaming Big”, within
months of opening its doors, the company received its first
development deal with a major production company.
Shortly afterwards, Banton-Lofters cast a new concept and
pitched it to EMMY Award-winning blue-chip production
company, True Entertainment who produced the concept
under Bravo Television Network’s Real Housewives
franchise making The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s first six episodes
averaged 871,000 adults 18-49,  received nearly 1.5 million
video streams, and made history by cracking the 2-million
viewer mark amongst adults 18-49 for the first
predominately African-American cast in a major network
unscripted television series.  It out-performed both The
Real Housewives of Orange County and The Real
Housewives of New York, according to Variety Magazine.

Loft 22 Entertainment has established working relationships
with Bravo Television, The WE Channel, NBC/Universal, E
Network!, MTV Networks, TVONE, ESPN, VH-1.

Loft 22 also has a partnership venture with Evolution Media.
Evolution Media is a full service creative team and
production company offering innovative original
programming. Based in Los Angeles. Loft 22 Entertainment
and Evolution Media currently have two project underway:
The Andrea Kelly Project (R. Kelly’s ex-wife) and  Boys Club
ATL.

On October 15-17th Loft 22 Entertainment will present The
Southern Television & Film Summit. They are looking for all
